Moving Minds is a provider of psychological services to the private sector, solicitors, corporates and individuals.

Moving Minds is well known in the Industry for clinical integrity and high levels of clinical governance. The Clinical Team involves psychological graduates and post-graduates, assistant psychologists and chartered psychologists.

Our offices in W14 8XP are within walking distance of the Kensington Olympia station.

We work in a friendly team with excellent opportunities to learn and develop.

 

Applicants who will be office based should live no further than 50 minutes travel from the office. Positions are available immediately and in January 2019 there will be 6 further positions

 

Moving Minds Therapies has recently been established to provide assessment and treatment to adults, young people and children with anxiety, depression, panic, phobias and trauma symptoms and other problems. Presentations are varied which offers an opportunity to develop professionally.

Treatment takes place face-to-face, online and telephonically, as well as through a specially designed treatment portal. Therapists can choose the number of days a week they would like to commit to working, and there is the opportunity to work from home.

Clinical supervision is offered as well as the opportunity for CPD. EMDR is widely used and the Clinical Director is an EMDR Europe accredited Senior Trainer. Opportunities may be available to train in EMDR.

 

Job Requirements and Description

 

CBT Therapists need to be BABCP accredited and have an up-to-date DBS check. Background as a nurse would be appreciated but not required. Therapists should have at least one-year post qualification/accreditation experience.

 

CBT therapists would be involved in:

  • Assessment and treatment formulation
  • Focused CBT therapy of different duration, depending on the person’s problems and the referrer’s requirements
  • Group and individual support of psychological case managers
  • Supervision of junior colleagues and trainee CBT therapists
  • Assisting other stakeholders and health professionals in understanding peoples’ mental health difficulties
  • Assisting clients to return to work after illness absence
  • Preparing information on mental health to assist case managers and patients/clients for the website and the online portal as well as the in-house training portal
  • Critical incidence support

 

All therapists will be expected to keep accurate records and work within data protection and confidentiality policies set out legally and by the employer.

Organisational, administrative and time-keeping skills are essential.

Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office and ability to learn new IT systems is required.

Being fluent in English is essential and additionally speaking other languages would be beneficial.
